Terms and conditions
These terms apply when you order products or services from Formbo as a consumer. Read them together with the product information and your order confirmation. Any special terms we have agreed for your order are recorded in the order confirmation and take precedence over the corresponding general terms.
Last updated: 10 August 2026.
1. Seller and contact details
The seller is Formbo AB, company registration number 559127-6539 and VAT number SE559127653901.
Registered address: Carlsgatan 12 a, 211 20 Malmö, Sweden.
Email: [email protected]
Phone: 07360 265837
These terms are for consumer purchases. Businesses and other legal entities are covered by the terms in their quotation or agreement.
2. Product information and your choices
The specification, dimensions, contents, price and options for a product are those shown when you order and in the order confirmation. Images and visualisations help explain the product but do not replace dimensions, drawings or the written specification. Furniture, groundwork and other surroundings shown in an image are included only if the order says so.
Timber is a natural material, so colour, grain and knots vary between individual pieces and buildings. Normal variations are part of the material’s character and are not in themselves faults. Images illustrate the appearance; they do not mean that every piece of timber will have identical colour, grain or knots.
You are responsible for checking the configuration, dimensions, delivery address and other information before submitting the order. Contact us before ordering if anything is unclear.
3. Order and contract
A binding contract is formed when Formbo sends the order confirmation. It sets out the order contents, price and delivery information.
If information is missing or something appears incorrect, we may contact you to clarify it before confirming the purchase. If we cannot accept the order, we will refund any payment already made without undue delay.
Keep the order confirmation and related documents. Check the details and contact us promptly if anything is incorrect.
4. Price and payment
The price of your order is shown at checkout before you complete the purchase. All prices include VAT. Delivery charges are shown separately before you submit your order. Any price correction must be agreed before the order becomes binding.
Both the product price and delivery charge appear in your order confirmation.
A quotation is valid for 14 days from its date unless stated otherwise.
Checkout shows the payment methods available for your order. Depending on eligibility and market, these may include card payment, Swish, bank transfer, and invoice or instalments through Zaver.
Card, Zaver Pay Now and Swish payments are charged when the payment or order is approved. We start processing orders paid by bank transfer once the funds have arrived.
Zaver invoice and instalment payments are subject to credit approval. Payment periods, interest, fees and other conditions are shown at checkout before you select the payment method. Late payment may result in reminder charges, default interest and debt collection costs under applicable law and Zaver’s terms.
5. Changes and cancellation before delivery
Contact us as soon as possible if you wish to change or cancel your order. A change takes effect only when Formbo confirms it in writing and may affect the price and delivery time.
If you buy as a consumer, you may cancel your building order before receiving it. On cancellation, we are entitled to compensation for reasonable costs and losses as permitted by applicable law. These may include design work, purchased materials and work already completed. For custom-made buildings, the amount can be substantial once production has begun. We explain how it has been calculated.
For business purchases, changes and cancellation are governed by the quotation or agreement.
Cancellation before delivery is different from the right to withdraw. See section 8 for withdrawal rights.
6. Delivery time and delay
We normally deliver within 10–15 working days unless stated otherwise for the product or order. The delivery time or period for your order appears in the order confirmation.
If delivery is delayed, we will let you know and provide an updated delivery estimate as soon as we have more information.
7. Delivery, access and receipt
The delivery method, address and agreed unloading point are stated in the order confirmation or separate delivery information. For consumer purchases, Formbo remains responsible for the goods until you, or a person you have appointed, receive them in accordance with applicable consumer law. Delivery is made as close to the address as the vehicle can safely reach. Carrying goods inside or moving them further across the property is not included.
You are responsible for accurate delivery details and for providing the information we request about the road, entrance, load-bearing capacity, obstacles and unloading area. You are also responsible for permissions and preparation on your property unless otherwise included in writing. Contact us promptly if conditions change.
The carrier contacts you before delivery to plan and confirm the delivery day. The delivery method is confirmed before transport and uses one of the following arrangements.
Tail lift and pallet truck: the vehicle may be approximately 13 × 2.75 × 4.5 metres and weigh up to 26 tonnes. The surface must be hard, level and even along the entire route from the tail lift to the unloading point so that the pallet truck can roll. A pallet truck cannot be used safely on loose gravel, uneven ground or a steep slope.
Crane lorry or truck-mounted forklift: the vehicle may be approximately 25 × 2.75 × 4.5 metres and weigh up to 44 tonnes. A level, hard unloading area is required. Reach depends on the vehicle and site conditions. Trees, walls, fences and other obstacles may limit where the goods can be unloaded.
You or a person you have appointed must be present to receive the goods as agreed with the carrier. The driver decides where unloading can take place safely. If no recipient is present at the agreed time, the address is incorrect, or the road and unloading area do not meet the notified requirements, Formbo may recover the actual and reasonable cost of a failed journey, return transport, a different vehicle, additional labour or redelivery.
Check the number of packages and any visible transport damage on receipt. Where possible, record visible damage on the delivery note, take photographs and contact Formbo without undue delay.
After receipt, you are responsible for keeping the building kit dry, ventilated and protected from the weather in accordance with the supplied information. Keep the packing record, labels and product documents, as these help us trace and deal with any complaint.
8. Right to withdraw from a distance contract
The statutory right to withdraw applies only to consumers. Businesses and other legal entities do not have this right. A fault-free item bought by a business may be returned only by agreement with us.
Buildings made at your request with dimensions, mirrored layouts, opening positions or other adaptations outside Formbo’s standard range are excluded from the right to withdraw. We do not offer voluntary returns of these specially manufactured products.
For a standard, non-customised item covered by the right to withdraw, you normally have 14 days to notify Formbo that you wish to withdraw. For goods, the period normally starts on the day after receipt. Your notice must clearly state that you wish to withdraw from the contract. You may email us or use the model cancellation form provided by the relevant consumer authority.
Contact us before returning goods for the return address and transport information. Return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after notifying us of your withdrawal. You are responsible for the direct cost of return transport.
You may handle the goods as needed to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Handling beyond this may make you responsible for any reduction in value.
When goods are returned under the right to withdraw, we refund the amount paid for the returned goods, less any reduction in value described above. We refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after your notice, using the same payment method unless we expressly agree otherwise. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or you provide evidence that they have been sent back, whichever happens first.
An exception from the right to withdraw does not affect your statutory rights if the goods are faulty.
Section 5 applies to cancellation before delivery. If the goods have already left the warehouse, Formbo may recover the actual return transport cost. A deposit may be retained in whole or in part as compensation for cancellation to the extent reasonable for order administration, design work, production planning, booked assembly and other actual costs or losses.
9. Faults and complaints
The product must conform to the contract and mandatory law. If you believe there is a fault, contact Formbo as soon as possible and describe the issue. Include your order number, photographs and the information reasonably needed for us to assess it.
For consumer purchases governed by Swedish law, goods can be complained about for three years after receipt. A complaint made within two months after discovering the fault is always considered to have been made in time. Faults appearing during the first two years are assessed under the evidential rule in the Swedish Consumer Sales Act. Mandatory rights where you live may provide different or longer protection.
Formbo must have a reasonable opportunity to inspect the issue and, where the law permits, repair the goods or provide a replacement. Depending on the circumstances, you may also be entitled to a price reduction, to end the contract, to compensation for loss or to withhold payment.
Damage caused solely by unsuitable groundwork, a base that departs from the agreed specification, assembly contrary to the instructions, neglect or use outside the agreed purpose is not a fault for which Formbo is responsible. This applies only to the extent that the relevant circumstance actually caused the problem. Incorrect or inadequate instructions from Formbo are assessed under applicable law.
If anything is unexpectedly missing or damaged, Formbo will send replacement parts promptly and free of charge, provided the damage did not arise after receipt. Give your order number and identify the part concerned. Include clear photographs and, if available, the package label and the part’s position number.
Normal characteristics of the agreed timber product, such as natural colour variations and knots, are not in themselves faults. Formbo is not responsible for damage to the extent caused by incorrect storage, inadequate surface treatment, an unsuitable base, assembly contrary to the instructions or alterations not approved by Formbo.
10. Assembly, site and official requirements
You are responsible for ensuring that the site, base, position and access are suitable for the ordered product unless Formbo has expressly agreed to undertake that work. Assembly must follow the current instructions and take account of the site conditions.
You are responsible for checking the permissions, notifications, consents and other official requirements that apply to the property and intended use. A product name, size or configuration is not in itself confirmation that a building may be erected or used in a particular way.
Where Formbo has agreed to provide assembly or another service, its scope, exclusions and responsibilities are set out in the order confirmation or a separate agreement. Your mandatory rights for consumer services continue to apply regardless of how the service is described.
11. Materials, documents and product changes
Drawings, assembly instructions and other documents supplied with the order are intended for that product and version. Always use the latest version Formbo has supplied for your order.
Formbo may update a product or replace a component before a contract is formed. After formation, a change may be made only where it is consistent with the contract and the law. A replacement component must provide equivalent function and must not impair the product’s agreed characteristics.
12. Liability
Formbo is responsible for breach of contract, faults and delay in accordance with mandatory consumer law. We are not responsible for loss to the extent it was caused by inaccurate information supplied by you, work outside Formbo's agreed scope or action taken contrary to our correct instructions.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence and rights under mandatory consumer law.
13. Personal data
Formbo processes personal data to manage orders, payments, delivery, customer service and legal obligations. [Formbo’s privacy policy](/en-gb/privacy-policy/i/8/) explains what we process, why we process it and the rights available to you.
14. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law governs the contract. This choice does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection in the country where you habitually live.
Please contact Formbo first at [email protected], so that we can try to resolve the matter together. If no solution is reached, a Swedish consumer may refer the dispute to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), Box 174, SE-101 23 Stockholm, Sweden, [arn.se](https://www.arn.se/). ARN considers the dispute independently and issues a recommendation.
You may also bring a claim before a court with jurisdiction. Consumers in another country may use the dispute-resolution body and court available under the mandatory rules that apply there.
15. Changes to these terms
Formbo may update these terms for future orders. The version applying to your purchase is the version you accepted when placing the order. A later update does not change an existing contract unless you and Formbo expressly agree or mandatory law requires it.
