Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains the personal data Formbo uses, why we need it and the choices and rights available to you. It applies when you visit our website, request a catalogue, contact us, configure a building, ask for a quotation, place an order or speak with us after your purchase.

The information we use

If you contact us or request a catalogue, we may use your name, email address, telephone number, language, message, subject and the page from which you sent the request. Where needed, we also record when you gave consent and the version of the consent wording shown to you, so that we can respect and demonstrate your choice.

When you configure a product, request a quotation or order, we may use your selections, drawings, measurements, project information, delivery and billing addresses, quotation, order confirmation, correspondence and details about delivery, assembly, customer care, complaints or returns.

For payments, we use the billing, reference and status information required to administer the purchase. Card, bank account, identity and credit information may be handled directly by your chosen payment service under its own terms and privacy notice.

Our website and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, time, web address and security result. Our contact and catalogue forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to deter automated and harmful submissions.

Most information comes directly from you. We may also receive a payment status from a payment service or a delivery update from a carrier where this is needed for your order.

Please do not include sensitive personal data in a free-text field unless we have specifically asked you to provide it.

Our reasons for processing

We use your information to answer questions, help with your configuration and prepare quotations for a possible purchase. For general enquiries, processing may also be based on our legitimate interest in providing good customer service.

We use information about orders, payments, delivery, assembly and service to enter into and perform our contract with you. We also process information where a legal duty requires it, including accounting, consumer-law obligations and responding to an authorised public body.

If you request a catalogue or agree to receive marketing, we use your contact details with your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out.

We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure and dependable service to prevent misuse, diagnose faults and protect our website and systems. Whenever we rely on legitimate interests, we balance our need against your privacy rights.

We may retain and use relevant information where necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Who receives the information

We do not sell personal data. We only share it where there is a defined need.

Recipients may include providers of website, storage, email, customer care and security services; payment services and banks; carriers and assembly partners; and advisers, insurers or public authorities where law or a legal claim requires disclosure. Depending on your order, payment options may be provided by card services, Zaver and Swish.

A supplier processing data on Formbo's behalf may only use it under our instructions and agreement. Where a recipient independently decides why and how it processes information, it is the controller for that part and must provide its own privacy information.

If personal data is transferred outside the EU and EEA, we ensure that the transfer has a valid legal basis and suitable protection, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses where required.

How long we keep information

We keep personal data for as long as it is needed for its purpose, and afterwards only where law, a guarantee, complaint, dispute or another legitimate requirement calls for it. The period therefore depends on the enquiry or order concerned.

Enquiries and project material are kept while the matter is active and for a reasonable follow-up period. Order, payment and delivery records are retained to meet applicable accounting and consumer-law duties. Information used with consent for catalogues and marketing is removed from that use when you withdraw consent or the purpose ends. We may then keep limited details to record your preference or prevent further messages.

When information is no longer required, we delete it or make it anonymous securely.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and local storage for functions on Formbo’s website, such as the basket, configurator and sign-in. This storage is not used for external tracking, visitor statistics or marketing.

Selections in your basket are stored locally in your browser so that they remain available as you move around the website. They stay on your device until the basket or the website's stored data is cleared. A basket is not an order and is not linked to your contact details unless you submit the information to us through an order or quotation journey.

Your rights

You can ask whether we process personal data about you and request a copy. You may also ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

Where data-protection law provides, you may request erasure or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests and receive information you supplied in a structured, portable format. You may withdraw consent at any time when consent is our legal basis.

Some rights are limited, for example where we must retain information by law or need it for a legal claim. We will explain if this applies. We may need to verify your identity before disclosing or changing information, but will not request more than the check requires.

Formbo does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on you solely by automated processing. A payment service may carry out its own credit or security assessment and is responsible for explaining that assessment.

You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY. Guidance is available at www.imy.se. You are welcome to contact us first so that we can investigate, but you do not have to do so.

We revise this policy when our processing, services or the rules change. The current version will always be available on this page, and the date above shows when it was last revised. If a change matters to you, we will provide appropriate notice.
